Club receives
€15,000 grant
The club has received a
Sports Capital Grant of €15,000 from the Department of Arts, Sports
and Tourism. This brings to €235,000 the amount received from this
grant scheme over the past five years.
The grant will be used
to provide badly needed additional dressing room facilities. This is
seen as a short term solution. The final phase of the club development
plan is the extension of the clubhouse which is expected to cost
approximately €200,000. While we hope that a further Sports Capital
Grant will be available to us for this purpose the club will need to
have at least €70,000 raised or 30% of the total cost of the project
as the grant is only provided as 70% of the total cost.
An ambitious fund-raising event is being researched but any ideas
would be very welcome.
